About Motte Historical Car Museum

The Motte Historical Car Museum in Sun City showcases the automotive and agricultural heritage of Perris Valley. Visitors explore the Barn, a roadside museum housing over 25 vintage automobiles dating from the 1910s through 1960s. Each vehicle in the collection carries its own history connected to the Motte family and the valley's development. The museum was founded by John and Evelyn Motte to preserve the stories of pioneer families who settled in the area, their antique car collection, and the region's farming roots. The collection began with a 1926 Chevrolet Touring that John Victor Motte restored in the late 1970s. The museum operates on Route 74 and welcomes guests of all ages interested in learning about local history through automobiles and the Motte family legacy. The museum presents something to learn and see at every turn for those exploring the valley's past.
