About Big Bear Valley Historical Museum
The Big Bear Valley Historical Society & Museum is a seasonal living history museum where visitors explore the region's past through interactive exhibits and demonstrations. The museum grounds contain nine structures displaying historical artifacts, a working blacksmith shop, and a running stamp mill. Guests can try their hand at gold panning and participate in special events throughout the summer. Guided tours are available by reservation. The museum, founded in 1967, aims to foster appreciation of Big Bear Valley's history, preserve historical artifacts, and promote historical research of the area.
