About Perris Valley Historical & Museum Association

Perris Valley Historical & Museum Association operates three facilities—a historic bank, train depot, and POD building—where visitors explore exhibits about local history. The Train Depot houses permanent exhibits, while the museum displays the Perris Centennial Exhibit, a traveling collection shown across nine school sites and administrative offices throughout the Perris Elementary School District. Visitors learn about the region's growth forces: water, farming, mining, commerce, the railroad, real estate, and the Perris Indian School. The museum interprets local stories about downtown Perris circa 1900, potato farming's agricultural importance, notable landmarks like the Rock Castle and Southern Hotel, and the lives of Native Americans and notable residents including Fred T. Perris. The D Street Documentary is available through the museum. Community programs include the annual Bazaar at the Perris Depot. Located in Perris, California, the museum depends on volunteers and docents to operate its collections and educational programming.
