About Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert

The Children's Discovery Museum of the Desert in Rancho Mirage offers hands-on interactive exhibits designed for children up to eight years old. Visitors explore exhibit galleries, a trike track and sandbox, community gardens, an art and celebrations room, and a covered picnic area. The museum runs discovery camps, special classes, and workshops throughout the year, along with membership appreciation events. An adult must accompany each child and remain present during the entire visit; strollers are not permitted inside. General admission is $19.95 per person. EBT cardholders and up to three additional guests with current EBT card and matching ID receive admission for $5 per person through the Museums for All program, as listed on cdmod.org. The museum is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit where membership applies admission toward a full year of unlimited visits.
