The Palm Springs Air Museum is a nonprofit living history museum where visitors view aircraft from World War Two, the Korean War, Vietnam War, and the Global War on Terror. Many aircraft remain in flyable condition. Visitors can participate in the World War II Scavenger Hunt, sit in the open cockpit of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk XIV on Saturday mornings, or book warbird flights in the C-47 Skytrain, PT-17 Stearman, T-6 Texan, T-28 Trojan, or P-51 Mustang. Many docents are veterans who share their experiences. The museum offers verified discounts: active duty military and immediate family receive free admission; Family Pack 1 costs $65 for two adults and one teenager ages 13-17; Family Pack 2 costs $80 for two adults and two teenagers; Family Pack 3 costs $95 for two adults and three teenagers; and EBT cardholders with government ID receive $5 admission per person for up to four adults.
