About Palm Springs Art Museum Architecture and Design Center

The Architecture and Design Center, Edwards Harris Pavilion, in downtown Palm Springs explores architecture and design through exhibitions, educational programs, and community events. Visitors see rotating exhibitions such as Alternative Palm Springs: Other Desert Architectures, along with the museum's growing architecture and design collections and archives. The building itself is a 1961 International style structure designed by E. Stewart Williams, originally built as the Santa Fe Federal Savings and Loan and designated a Class 1 Historic Site. The Bradford W. Bates Vault Store occupies the original bank vault and sells architecture and design-focused books, games, stationery, modern jewelry, and works by local artists. General admission of twenty-five dollars provides access to both Palm Springs Art Museum and the Architecture and Design Center; tickets are sold online at psmuseum.org. Children under eighteen, active-duty military and families, and NARM and ROAM participants receive free admission. Admission is free on Thursdays from five to eight p.m., funded by the City of Palm Springs.
