The Agua Caliente Tahquitz Visitor Center in Palm Springs offers educational and cultural exhibits related to Tahquitz Canyon, part of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians Reservation. Located at the canyon entrance, the center features a display of artifacts and an observation deck. Visitors can view The Legend of Tahquitz video in the theater room. Tahquitz Canyon itself showcases a spectacular seasonal 60-foot waterfall, rock art, ancient irrigation systems, native wildlife, and plants. The canyon trail extends approximately 1.8 miles round trip and includes stairs and rocky terrain. Hikers encounter the natural desert landscape within the culturally sensitive ancestral tribal lands. The site can experience wait times during busy periods as visitors access the hiking areas throughout the canyon.
