About Garden Works for Kids

Garden Works for Kids is a nonprofit children's garden in Yucaipa where visitors plant flowers, dig in the dirt, meet butterflies, and taste what grows. Children explore freely in a screen-free setting designed around hands-on nature experiences. The garden features a red barn, vegetable beds, and planted areas where kids can investigate at their own pace. Families visit the garden during seasonal events and special experiences throughout the year. Schools, homeschool groups, and community organizations book field trips for nature-based learning programs. Birthday parties are held in the garden space, with outdoor play and garden adventures included. The nonprofit has welcomed more than 150,000 children since its founding, creating a place where children slow down and experience the natural world directly rather than observing it from a distance.
