The Morgan Hill Historical Society preserves the history of Morgan Hill, a California community named after local rancher Hiram Morgan Hill. Visitors explore Villa Mira Monte, which features the Morgan Hill House, a Queen Anne East Lake/Stick style home built in 1884 by Hiram and Diana. The property also includes the Morgan Hill Museum, a 1911 Craftsman style home relocated to the site in 2005 that now houses archives and object collections. These collections contain artifacts, maps, photographs, manuscripts, clippings and memorabilia relating to the local area and its inhabitants. The Centennial History Trail winds through rose gardens and offers a reflective walk highlighting the region's historical highlights. Docents welcome visitors and provide tours of both the historic houses on Saturday mornings. The society also hosts special events such as children's teas featuring themed activities, games and refreshments held at Villa Mira Monte in Morgan Hill.
Hours: Saturdays 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
