Wings of History Air Museum in San Martin is a nonprofit dedicated to aviation history through restoration, preservation and flight education. Visitors explore vintage aircraft across two hangars, including the Wright Flyer and Lindbergh display, alongside engines, model aircraft, and World War I and World War II exhibits. The flight simulator lets you pilot everything from the 1903 Wright Flyer to F-18 Hornets and the hypersonic Darkstar from Top Gun: Maverick. Kids and adults can sit in the captain's seat of a Vickers Viscount airliner or a Beechcraft Musketeer, where volunteers demonstrate pitch, roll and yaw using the yoke and rudder pedals. The Ole Fahlin Memorial Propeller Shop shows how craftsmen make and repair wooden propellers using traditional methods. Aviation enthusiast volunteers lead tours adjusted to audience interests, from families with young children to seasoned pilots.
