The Historic Monrovia wing introduces visitors to the Monroe family and the town's founding, featuring a turn-of-the-century kitchen and parlor, a 1907 classroom tribute to early Monrovia schools, and exhibits on the Pottenger Sanatorium, which researched treatments for breathing disorders. An interactive police department exhibit engages younger visitors. The Historic Collections wing displays Native American artifacts spanning centuries, a natural history section, telephone technology exhibits tracing the past century, and a World War II veterans tribute.
