planetarium dome show — photo from the venue's own site
The John Drescher Planetarium at Santa Monica presents immersive shows using a 4K Digistar projection system. The Night Sky Show, updated weekly and lasting 40 minutes, features Planetarium Lecturer Sarah Vincent discussing the latest astronomy and space exploration news while presenting virtual tours of constellations and night-sky objects visible in upcoming evenings. An audience Q&A follows, allowing visitors to ask astronomy-related questions. Feature Programs explore specific topics such as the Sun and exoplanet discovery, presented after The Night Sky Show with brief question-and-answer sessions. Sunday Family Matinées, offered monthly during summer, combine both The Night Sky Show and a Feature Program in a single afternoon visit. The Night Sky Show runs at 6 p.m. most Fridays and 1 p.m. on selected Sundays, while Feature Programs begin at 7 p.m. Fridays and 2 p.m. Sundays. All programs are held live in the planetarium's theater located in Santa Monica, California.
We check this attraction’s own website for offers. The last time we read smc.edu there was no offer on it that we could verify.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
