About Illinois Aviation Museum

Illinois Aviation Museum houses a replica of the Wright Flyer within its hangar at Bolingbrook's Clow International Airport. Visitors explore aviation history and science through preserved aircraft and exhibits displayed in the venue interior. The museum hosts the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 461, Warbirds of America Squadron 4, and Civil Air Patrol, connecting the community to active aviation organizations. The museum supports educational programs and community involvement centered on aviation discovery. Seasonal events like Cavalcade of Planes draw thousands of visitors for static aircraft displays, rides, military demonstrations, and vendors. The Haunted Hangar transforms the space into a seasonal attraction. A volunteer board of fifteen individuals governs the nonprofit, which operates on weekends. Located at Clow International Parkway in Bolingbrook, the museum welcomes visitors interested in aviation heritage and hands-on learning about flight.
