About Historical Aircraft Squadron

The Historical Aircraft Squadron is a volunteer-run museum at Fairfield County Airport where visitors explore restored military aircraft and related equipment displayed in a hangar. Founded in 1994, the organization restores and operates former military planes while preserving aviation history. Guests can view completed restoration projects and static displays that include a C-45 Transport, Stinson L-5 Sentinel, Folland Gnat fighter, 3/4 Mustang, Kaiser Jeep Ambulance, and Stinson 10, along with military vehicles and museum memorabilia. The hangar serves as the centerpiece of activities, and visitors are welcome to stop by and spend time around the aircraft and exhibits. Group tours and school field trips are available by appointment. The squadron is located in Carroll, Ohio, near Lancaster at Fairfield County Airport on the east side of Route 33, with a paved parking lot and access to the hangar facilities.
