The Heisey Glass Museum in Newark, Ohio showcases handmade glassware produced by A.H. Heisey & Company from 1896 to 1957. Visitors explore an extensive collection of 9,000 pieces displayed throughout the museum, examining specific items such as the No. 15 floral block with duck insert in Hawthorne, the No. 1205 Fancy Loop mustard jar in Emerald from around 1896, the No. 1951 Cabochon covered candy box in Dawn designed by Horace King, and the impressive 12-inch tall No. 444 vase on three legs in Colonial style crystal. The Walter R. Ludwig Gallery features rotating exhibits curated by volunteers. The elegant 19th-century King House displays a dining table setting arranged with Heisey glassware. An exhibit covers reproductions and look-alikes made after the company closed. The museum, located in downtown Newark near Veterans' Park, welcomes visitors with accessible facilities including elevators and barrier-free entrances. General admission is free.
