Children's Natural History Museum in Fremont features four main exhibit halls exploring Earth's history and natural world. The Wieckowski Widescreen immerses visitors in travel through Earth and space, while the Miller Satellite allows children to explore space exploration. Spiraling through Geological Time shows how Earth evolved over 4.5 billion years. Dynamic Earth displays mineral collections organized by chemical composition, California rocks, and the Debbie Dome rotating Earth model. Phil Gordon Nature Hall presents the Tree of Life with fossils and living specimens, including a Sabertooth Cat replica compared against mountain lion bones, plus fossils from the Paleozoic, Mesozoic, and Cenozoic periods. Wes Gordon Fossil Hall contains the Irvingtonian Fossils, Boy Paleontologist Room, Bones of Vertebrates, and Environments through Time exhibits featuring fossils from Irvington and Warm Springs District. Hands-on activities throughout the museum engage children. The self-guided tour takes at least one hour. The museum is designed for children to interact with exhibits while observing nature.
