About CatBoat Adventure Tours

CatBoat Adventure Tours offers guided 2-hour boat tours where visitors captain their own 2-person powered catamaran across Lake Dora and through the Dora Canal, a cypress-lined waterway known locally as the most beautiful mile of water in the world. The tour is fully narrated with historical information about the area and its cinematic past, including filming locations for The African Queen and Honky Tonk Freeway. No boating experience is necessary; instruction is provided before departure. Life jackets are included, and the company supplies all equipment. Tours depart from Mount Dora Boating Center & Marina, a short walk from downtown Mount Dora, with departure times published on the venue's site. Advance online purchase discounts apply: weekday Lake Dora & Dora Canal tours cost $170 per boat, weekend tours $185 per boat, and Thursday or Friday evening Golden Hour Adventures in March through October cost $185 per boat, compared to regular prices of $180, $195, and $195 respectively.
