About Mennello Museum of American Art

The Mennello Museum of American Art preserves and displays American paintings, sculpture, and contemporary works in Orlando. Visitors explore multiple gallery spaces showcasing changing exhibitions featuring art of all genres and time periods, including traveling shows and original installations. The museum's permanent collection centers on paintings by Earl Cunningham. Current exhibitions include Isamu Noguchi's galvanized steel sculptures and Luca Molnar's Worker Bees mural alongside a new Pollinator Garden. The Marilyn L. Mennello Sculpture Garden, open to the public, features a 350-year-old live oak tree draped in Spanish moss. Family programs include Music and Story Time for young children led by Caravan Learning, docent-led gallery tours, and Free Family Funday on the second Sunday of monthly, which offers gallery tours at 12:30, 1:30, and 2:30pm plus fine art projects. The museum occupies a historic house that once belonged to Howard Phillips.
