Premier Boat Tours offers pontoon boat tours on Lake Dora and the Harris Chain of Lakes in Mount Dora, Florida. Visitors board large, covered all-weather pontoon boats with cushioned seats, marine toilets and drop-down plastic windows for weather protection. The standard two-hour Dora Canal tour cruises through the famous Dora Canal, described as the most beautiful mile of water in the world. US Coast Guard certified captains share local history, stories and knowledge of the area's flora and fauna. First mates, trained in First Aid and CPR, spot wildlife from the boat's front. Common sightings include bald eagles, herons, anhingas, turtles and alligators. The company also operates a covered 25-foot pontoon boat for private tours with oversize seating for smaller groups. A one-hour sunset lake tour provides an alternative to the longer canal excursions. The tours suit families and wildlife enthusiasts seeking guided waterway experiences on Central Florida's lakes.
