cable car with passengers — photo from the venue's own site
Cable Car Turnaround Powell Street is where visitors board San Francisco's famous cable cars, the national landmarks that have symbolized the city since their invention 150 years ago. The turnaround serves as the starting point for two of the three cable car lines: the Powell/Hyde Cable Car and the Powell/Mason Cable Car, both of which continue toward the Fisherman's Wharf area. Riders can board at the cable car turntables at the beginning or end of each route, identified by brown-and-white cable car sign posts. The cable cars themselves are maintained in excellent condition by the San Francisco Municipal Transportation Agency's professional operators, mechanics, and carpenters. A visit involves waiting at the turnaround and boarding one of these historic cable cars to travel through San Francisco's streets. Located at Powell and Market in San Francisco, California, the Cable Car Turnaround Powell Street provides access to the city's distinctive transportation experience and the steep hills and neighborhoods these cars traverse.
We check this attraction’s own website for offers. The last time we read sfmta.com, on , there was no offer on it that we could verify.
The page stays here because the attraction is still worth knowing about, and because we keep checking. If a deal appears on their site, it appears here.
