Animal Farm Petting Zoo is Long Island's original family petting zoo, operated by the Long Island Zoological Society on a 10-acre property in Manorville. The zoo's rescue program provides homes for hundreds of unwanted animals including mini cows, ponies, monkeys, emus, and parrots. Visitors experience up-close animal interactions in designated areas, hand-feed animals with purchased feed, and bottle-feed baby pigs, goats, and sheep. The park features shady gardens, picnic spots, playgrounds, and a puppet theater. Children can ride gentle ponies or hop aboard the Safari Train for a scenic tour of the grounds.
