About American Freedom Museum

The American Freedom Museum illuminates American history from the Revolutionary War through the War on Terrorism, using original artifacts and exhibits that visitors walk through to experience the sacrifices of military personnel and veterans. The museum displays a World War II M29 Cargo Carrier Weasel, a tracked vehicle designed for rough terrain operations, and a UH-1D Army helicopter piloted by the 48th Assault Helicopter Company during the Vietnam War. The collection includes Civil War items, signed presidential documents, and memorabilia donated by veterans and active service members. Visitors can explore these galleries to learn about the nation's rich heritage through innovative curricula built around significant historical artifacts. The museum suits families with children, school groups, and those interested in American military history, offering multi-hour visits that engage visitors of varying ages in firsthand accounts and historical narratives. Located on the Brook Hill School campus in Bullard, Texas, the facility opened in 2010.
