The Air Force Armament Museum preserves and displays artifacts from military aviation history, with over 29 aircraft and several hundred pieces of armament on exhibit. Visitors explore a collection spanning from the World War II era to the present, including a B-17, B-52, AC-130, P-51 Mustang, A-10, F-15, and F-16. The armament exhibits feature guns, bombs, missiles including Sidewinders and Sparrows, cluster bombs, and the MOAB. Interactive mixed-media displays guide visitors through the evolution of aviation technology and military valor. A 32-minute film on Eglin Air Force Base's role in armament development plays continuously throughout the day. The museum suits history enthusiasts, school groups, and military families, with guided tours available for groups of five or more. Located directly off Highway 85 north of Shalimar in Eglin, Florida, the museum operates daily with an outdoor airpark accessible from sunup to sundown.
