Goodwood Museum & Gardens is a former plantation in Tallahassee where visitors explore 190 years of history through museum exhibits and landscaped gardens. The property features extensive grounds with gardens to walk through and collections to see. The museum hosts events throughout the year and offers virtual tours and online collections for those unable to visit in person, with archived programming available on the museum's YouTube channel. A significant feature is the Memorial to the Enslaved, a permanent outdoor site set on a half-acre among large live oaks and azaleas. The memorial lists the names of known enslaved persons and serves as a space for contemplation, remembrance, teaching, community engagement, and healing. The attraction suits visitors interested in regional history, botanical settings, and understanding the full story of the property and its past residents. A visit to Goodwood Museum & Gardens in Tallahassee involves spending time moving through both indoor exhibits and outdoor memorial and garden spaces.
