About The Grove Museum

The Grove Museum in Tallahassee preserves the ca. 1840 Call-Collins House, built by enslaved craftspeople and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Visitors take guided house tours that focus on slavery and civil rights in American history through the lens of the Call-Collins families and their former residents. Tours last approximately 40 minutes and are offered on the hour Wednesday through Saturday. The 10.5-acre grounds feature wooded areas, the Call-Collins family cemetery, native and exotic plants, and wildlife. Visitors can stroll the grounds, use picnic tables and benches, and observe the landscape. Well-behaved leashed dogs may visit the grounds during operating hours. The house includes wheelchairs for accessibility. Educational programs serve K-12 students indoors and outdoors, weather permitting. Group tours are available for parties of ten or more. General admission is free. The museum is located in Tallahassee, Florida.
