Tallahassee Museum spreads across 52 acres of natural habitat, historic buildings, and interactive exhibits in Tallahassee, Florida. Visitors explore elevated boardwalks through Wildlife Florida to observe native bears, deer, and wolves in naturalistic settings, and visit the Birds of Prey Aviary featuring eagles, owls, and hawks. The Big Bend Farm recreates 1880s life with period animals, plants, and sparse home furnishings. Nature trails wind through the grounds, including a Wildlife Trail where visitors learn about red wolf species survival. Jim Gary's Twentieth Century Dinosaurs sculpture exhibition showcases dinosaurs crafted from reclaimed car parts. For active visitors, Treemendous Adventures offers ziplining for younger guests, while Tree-To-Tree Adventures provides aerial obstacle courses and ziplines for taller participants. Animal Encounters allow direct interaction with ambassador education animals. The museum hosts school break camps with hands-on activities, and operates an on-site cafe.
