About USC Pacific Asia Museum

USC Pacific Asia Museum, an integral part of the University of Southern California, creates encounters with the art, history and culture of Pacific Asia to promote intercultural understanding. Visitors explore collection masterworks alongside contemporary works and new technology installations. The museum currently features "Mythical Creatures: The Stories We Carry," a 12-room installation conceived by artist Dave Young Kim and blending works by contemporary artists including Dinh Q. Lê, Lily Honglei, Wendy Park, Momoko Schafer, Kyungmi Shin, Sanjay Vora and Lauren YS. The museum offers fully accessible entrances, restrooms and elevators, with wheelchairs available upon request. Past exhibitions have displayed Tsuruya Kokei's bold kabuki prints and Dave Young Kim's acrylic mural celebrating the national birds of Asia and Pacific Islands. A visit involves moving through galleries that present rotating collections spanning textiles, ceramics, sculpture and paintings from across the Pacific Asia region.
