About Turtle Bay Exploration Park

Turtle Bay Exploration Park in Redding comprises a museum, the McConnell Arboretum and Botanical Gardens, and grounds spanning 300 acres where visitors explore exhibits, walk through native and non-native plantings, and participate in programs and classes. The McConnell Arboretum and Botanical Gardens feature over 200 acres of trees and plants on the north side of the campus near the Sundial Bridge. The museum operates with rotating exhibitions and hosts events throughout the year. A museum store inside the entrance sells locally crafted items and merchandise related to current exhibitions.
