Schoepfle Gardens spans 77 acres of botanical gardens and natural woodland along the Vermilion River in Birmingham, Ohio. Visitors explore collections of rhododendrons, roses, cannas, hosta, shade plants, shrubs, topiaries, and trees either by guided tour or at their own pace. The gardens include a two-mile loop trail with natural dirt and grass surfaces that winds through the woods, past a back pond, and along a river valley trail. A formal garden loop offers another route through the landscaped beds. Children's attractions include a seasonal carousel, playground, and dedicated children's garden. A visitor center is available on-site. The gardens also feature hiking trails that showcase plants and animals native to the Vermilion River Valley. Educational programs operate throughout the year at the location.
