About Miller Nature Preserve
Miller Nature Preserve spans 145 acres of woodlands in Avon and centers on a 5,000-square-foot Conservatory, the first in Lorain County. Visitors hike crushed-stone trails through wetlands and wooded areas across three separate sections of the preserve. The main entrance features a visitor center with a café, gift shop, and event hall. The Conservatory showcases indoor plantings and exotic plants. A seasonal Butterfly House offers additional viewing opportunities. Demonstration kitchen facilities are available on-site. The Avon Wetlands section contains over one mile of trails meandering through open wetlands. Upper French Creek Wetlands, located south of the main conservatory, features approximately one mile of trails following former cart paths from a converted golf course. The preserve suits families, hikers, photographers, and nature enthusiasts seeking accessible outdoor exploration and indoor botanical displays.
