Lakeview Park is a 20-acre lakeside recreational facility on the north shore of Lake Erie in Lorain, Ohio, where visitors swim, sunbathe, picnic and enjoy water sports. The park features a sandy beach, kayaking and canoeing, stand-up paddleboarding, and beach volleyball on dedicated courts. A lawn bowling court accommodates players of all skill levels. The Historic Rose Garden is a focal point of the grounds, and the Lorain Lighthouse is visible across the water. A bathhouse with changing rooms and showers serves swimmers and beachgoers. The Sunset Café operates from Memorial Day through Labor Day, serving soups, salads, sandwiches and burgers with views of the lake. A concession stand operates on the beach during summer months. Reservable shelters and gazebos accommodate groups planning picnics or gatherings. The park opens at eight in the morning and closes at sunset daily. Spectacular sunset views over Lake Erie draw visitors throughout the day.
