About Frostville Museum

Frostville Museum is a living history museum in North Olmsted that preserves 19th century Ohio through its collection of historic buildings. Visitors explore seven original structures and newer additions including the Prechtel House, Jenkins Cabin, Briggs House, Carpenter House, Stearns Carriage House, and Frostville Village Church. The Gifford General Store, Schoolhouse, Thompson House, Strelau Events Barn, and Wensink Display Barn are also part of the village site. The museum, maintained by the Olmsted Historical Society, operates at the corner of Cedar Point and Lewis Roads within the Cleveland Metroparks Rocky River Reservation. Throughout the year, the museum hosts family-friendly activities and special events. The Frostville Farmers' Market operates on Saturdays, offering local vendors and farm products. The museum also provides research services for those studying local history. General admission is free, and all veterans receive free admission as part of the Blue Star Museum program.
