Rocky River Nature Center in North Olmsted invites visitors to explore exhibits about the valley's natural and human history. Inside, guests encounter displays about early inhabitants and ancient species including Dunkleosteus, the giant fish of the Devonian sea. The center features HideAway Hollow, a large oak tree where children can play, along with a Cleveland Metroparks Nature Shop. A deck overlooking the river offers views of a 360 million year old shale cliff. Outside, gardens surround the building, and over five miles of trails extend from the Nature Center through the Rocky River Valley.
