The Lorain Historical Society – Carnegie Center, housed in Lorain's historic Carnegie Library, preserves and shares the city's diverse history through exhibits, educational programs, and community events. Visitors explore displays documenting Lorain's industrial past and cultural heritage, including the Latino Lorain History Project and the Lorain Black History Archives. The Children's History Center offers field trips, camps, and educational programs aligned with Ohio Department of Education standards for students from pre-K through eighth grade. The center also hosts the Lorain Early Learning Initiative, a kindergarten readiness program for preschool children.
