About Charles Mill Lake Park

Charles Mill Lake Park sprawls across 2,000 acres in Richland and Ashland Counties near Mansfield, Ohio, centered on a 1,350-acre lake created by a dam built in 1935. The lake offers sailing, boating, and fishing within a 10-horsepower limit, with two public boat-launch ramps and accessible kayak launch ramps available. Visitors swim at designated areas, kayak on water trails, fish from an accessible pier, hike trails, and enjoy geocaching throughout the park. Playgrounds and picnic areas with shelters accommodate families seeking relaxation. The park features two campgrounds, Main Camp and Eagle Point, with more than 400 campsites combined, plus three patio cabins for overnight stays. Boat rentals and docking services support water activities. The park's 34 miles of shoreline provide extensive access to the water and surrounding landscape.
