Santa Barbara Maritime Museum hosts the Maritime Distinguished Speaker Series, where visitors hear from ocean scientists and conservation leaders on topics ranging from coastal restoration to marine stewardship. The museum occupies the Waterfront Center building at the harbor, offering interactive exhibits and views of the city, beaches, and Channel Islands. The Outdoors Santa Barbara Visitor Center, located within the same building, provides free admission and information about whale watching, coastal cruises, and Channel Islands National Park.
