Play My Way is an adaptive recreation center in San Diego designed for children and young adults with physical and intellectual disabilities, though it welcomes all visitors. The facility features specialized adaptive equipment including swings, a climbing wall, and a trampoline with modifications as needed for different abilities. A sensory play area provides additional activities suited to varying developmental needs. The space is fully wheelchair accessible, allowing participants of all abilities to engage together. Play sessions last 85 minutes and include access to all adaptive equipment and activities. Each session maintains manageable capacity with adequate staffing to assist participants. Parents or adult guardians must accompany minors throughout their visit, and all participants require a completed waiver before admission. The center was created to address the challenge many families face finding inclusive recreational spaces that accommodate complex needs while fostering socialization and play.
