About Penn Ice Rink

Penn Ice Rink is a 2,600-seat skating facility on the University of Pennsylvania's campus adjacent to Penn Park. Visitors come to ice skate during public skating sessions, participate in figure skating, play open hockey, or take skating lessons. The rink offers group lessons for ages five and up through adults, as well as private skating lessons. Hockey players and figure skaters can join the all-ages learn-to-skate program or participate in open hockey drop-in hours. The facility hosts the Penn Quakers men's and women's hockey teams, the Drexel Dragons men's hockey team, St. Joseph's Prep Hockey, the Penn Figure Skating Club, and various adult hockey leagues. A self-serve Pro Shop vending machine stocked with skate laces, mouthguards, neck protectors, and hockey sticks sits near the ice surface. The NHL-size ice rink measures 85 by 200 feet with rounded corners. Located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the rink hosts special events and tournaments throughout the year.
