About Palma Sola Botanical Park

Palma Sola Botanical Park is a 10-acre botanical garden in northwest Bradenton featuring rare palms, subtropical plants, flowering trees, and an extensive collection of exotic fruit trees. Visitors explore the Rare Fruit Trail to see species including star fruit, dragon fruit, jackfruit, lychee, sapodilla, and tamarind maintained by the Manatee Rare Fruit Council. The Hidden Garden Nursery sells plants propagated from the grounds. The park hosts Art in the Park, a monthly gallery exhibition in the Galleria building featuring local artists working in watercolor, oil, pastel, pencil, photography, and sculpture, with proceeds supporting the park. General admission is free. The park operates daily from eight in the morning until dusk and welcomes well-behaved pets. Group tours are available. The land's protected warm microclimate and frost-free conditions allow the park to display subtropical specimens rarely seen in Florida.
