About Mote Science Education Aquarium (SEA)

Mote Science Education Aquarium in Sarasota invites visitors to explore marine life from around the world while learning about ocean science. The Indo-Pacific gallery features blacktip reef sharks that swim overhead, and guests encounter Florida's iconic coastal species alongside cownose rays and other aquatic animals. The facility includes Workforce Development Labs and STEM Teaching Labs where visitors discover the scientific research behind the exhibits. An audio tour makes all galleries accessible by reading exhibits aloud. Mote SEA also hosts special programs including Mote SEA Yoga Flow classes, the Youth Ocean Conservation Summit, and Shark Pups & Grown Ups sessions. The aquarium offers birthday parties and venue rentals for events. Active duty U.S. military members receive free admission with a current military ID when visiting in person. Tickets are available online through mote.org.
