About The Sarasota Children's Garden

The Sarasota Children's Garden is an outdoor play space where children engage in imaginative activities across themed areas. Visitors sail on The Pirate Queen, have tea in Hobbitville's fairyland setting, and climb the tree fort toward the clouds. The Woodland Cafe lets children create mud pies, while the rainforest area features water misters for cooling off. A costume room encourages creative dress-up play. The garden operates as a nonprofit offering weekly nature and art programs designed to keep children connected to the natural world through imaginative play. The space is mostly shaded by mature trees and uses natural insect control methods to protect native bees and butterflies. Parent-supervised classes are available for children of all ages. Located in Sarasota, the garden charges admission and operates Wednesday through Sunday with extended hours published on its website.
