Crowley Museum & Nature Center is a 191-acre farmstead in Sarasota that preserves Old Florida history and nature. Visitors hike trails through five native habitats on a boardwalk, explore pioneer buildings, and interact with heritage farm animals. The site offers Folk School classes in traditional skills including beginning crochet, weaving, canning, and classic pioneer apron making. Children's programming explores pioneer history and wilderness survival through experiential learning. The Welcome Center provides information and a gift shop. Guided nature tours introduce native Florida flora and fauna, while children's workshops include hands-on nature crafts. The museum operates on weekends in fair weather and suits families interested in heritage agriculture, environmental education, and understanding southwest Florida's natural and cultural history. The attraction is located on Myakka Road in Sarasota and charges admission.
