The Military Heritage Museum Conference Center & Library in Punta Gorda honors American military veterans through exhibits, artifacts, and veteran-led tours. Visitors explore over 30,000 historic artifacts across first-floor galleries and engage with thousands of oral histories that bring individual service stories to life. The second floor features the Future Force Academy with interactive activity areas, a Simulator Room, a War Room, and a Virtual Reality Experience that create realistic educational opportunities. The facility also houses an Academy Library for military research and hosts programs in the Gulf Theater. Veteran docents lead all tours, offering perspectives on major historical events that textbooks cannot convey. General admission provides access to galleries, exhibits, simulator experiences, and theater programs conducted during operating hours. The museum opened to the public in 2001 and has expanded twice to accommodate its growing collection and visitor base from across the country and abroad.
