About Cape Coral Museum of History

Cape Coral Museum of History preserves and shares the local and regional past through exhibits, archives, and guided tours across three buildings. Visitors take hourly guided tours through the Rosen Building, which houses the front desk and Museum Store, the Gulf American Land Corporation Building with exhibits chronicling settlement by the Calusa and Seminole through Gulf American's development of Cape Coral, and the Kelly Building documenting the city's businesses, government, schools, and parks since incorporation in 1970. The museum's Archives contain photographs, original documents, scrapbooks, maps, and letters. Outside, guests explore the Memorial Rose Garden, a certified Butterfly Garden, and Natural Gardens maintained by Lee County Master Gardeners and the Cape Coral Garden Club. Children receive scavenger hunts during visits, with those aged five and under admitted free with a paid adult.
