The Jewish Museum of Florida preserves and interprets Jewish life, history, and culture across Florida from 1763 to the present. Visitors explore exhibitions including current works like Undercover Agriculture by artist Meital Katz-Minerbo, with upcoming shows including The Wondering Jew: Chagall and the School of Paris and Joseph's Machines. The museum occupies the historic former Beth Jacob Synagogue campus in Miami Beach, featuring two original buildings joined by the Bess Myerson Gallery. The 1936 sanctuary, designed by Art Deco architect Henry Hohauser, retains 77 stained-glass windows, a copper dome, and a marble bimah as defining architectural elements. The museum's collection contains more than one hundred thousand items documenting Florida Jewish heritage. Programming includes cultural events, food and conversation gatherings with featured chefs, and exhibitions exploring Black Jewish history in South Florida. The museum is located in Miami Beach and operates Wednesday through Sunday with hours published on its website. Tickets are sold online through the museum's site.
