About International Printing Museum

International Printing Museum in Carson houses the world's largest collection of working antique presses and letterpress type equipment. Visitors explore the museum's galleries on guided tours offered most Saturdays, learning about printing history through hands-on demonstrations. The Book Arts Institute offers workshops in letterpress printing, bookbinding, screen printing, paper marbling, linoleum block printing, and experimental pressure printing for adults and teens. Scout Merit Badge Days allow participants to rotate through ten stations earning two badges while printing t-shirts, running an offset press, grinding pulp, and making paper. Girls ages ten through eighteen can attend Book Arts Patch Days for hands-on exploration. The museum hosts the annual Los Angeles Printers Fair, bringing together over 125 vendors and 2,000 visitors to experience letterpress, bookbinding, and paper arts.
