About Intel Museum
The Intel Museum in Santa Clara invites visitors behind the scenes into Silicon Valley's high-tech world of semiconductor manufacturing. The 10,000-square-foot space features interactive exhibits exploring Intel's history since its 1968 founding by Robert Noyce and Gordon Moore. Visitors explore what an ultra-clean, highly-automated silicon chip factory looks like, examine actual computer processors, and discover technologies that shape modern communication and computing. The museum offers guided tours in 30 or 60-minute sessions, with groups up to 15 able to schedule by advance reservation. School and youth groups in grades 2 through 12 can arrange field trips where museum staff engage students with the complexities of silicon technology and chip design. Self-guided visits are also available for independent exploration.
