About Historic Town Hall of Homestead

The Historic Homestead Town Hall Museum occupies the original 1917 City of Homestead Town Hall building on North Krome Avenue in Homestead, Florida. Visitors explore historical artifacts and photograph collections depicting the people, families, buildings, and events that shaped local history. The museum's most popular exhibit features the City of Homestead's original 1924 American LaFrance fire truck, partially restored by firefighting enthusiasts. The library and archives are available to researchers by appointment. A museum store offers books, cards, and other items related to local history. General admission is free, and the museum opens Tuesday through Saturday. The building stands a short distance from the restored Seminole Theater and across the street from Losner Park. The museum operates as a 501(c)3 organization dedicated to collecting, preserving, and displaying materials of permanent historical value for present and future generations.
