About Everglades Alligator Farm

South Florida's oldest alligator farm, Everglades Alligator Farm contains more than 2,000 alligators and sits near Everglades National Park's entrance. A visit includes a 20- to 25-minute airboat ride with high-speed runs and 360-degree spins, a live alligator feeding demonstration, and a live alligator handling show. The Alligator Encounter activity lets visitors ages 6 and older hold a three-foot alligator and feed over 250 creatures during a 45- to 60-minute guided tour. A separate Capybara Encounter offers 20 to 30 minutes with those animals. Private airboat tours accommodate groups of up to 8 people and last 45 to 60 minutes with general admission included. The farm opens daily at 9:00 a.m., and walk-ins need no reservation for standard airboat rides. No National Park entry fees apply. Tickets purchased online through the venue's site cost less than tickets bought in person, according to everglades.com.
