About Harbes Family Farm - Mattituck
Harbes Family Farm in Mattituck operates a working farm that has evolved into a destination for seasonal activities across three North Fork locations. At the Mattituck property, the Barnyard Adventure spans eight acres and features farm animals, jumbo jumper bounce pillows, and a trike track. The farmstand stocks fresh-picked produce and homemade ice cream. The Harbes Vineyard Wine Barn Tasting Room serves award-winning wines and hard cider. At Harbes Orchard, visitors pick apples and pumpkins, navigate a Robin Hood-themed corn maze, enjoy kids' activities, and listen to live music on weekends and holidays. Hayrides offer guided tours with musical entertainment. Weekend pig races occur in the Barnyard. Mini Highland cow animal encounters are available by advance reservation. The farm also hosts birthday parties and field trips. The Harbes family has farmed the North Fork since the 1960s after relocating when development reached their original Long Island property.
